Hurricane Ike

This photo represents simplicity. It has a simple background, and it is a pretty picture of the landscape.

This picture is a good example of balance. In the middle of the picture you have the colors blue and yellow, but on the outside of the picture you have dull colors.

Pinhole Finale

My Negative and Positive pinhole pictures are very different. First of all my positive is much lighter than the negative, and my negative and positive pictures are going in different directions.

Negative- Noting an image in which the brightness values of the subject are reproduced so that the lightest areas are shown as the darkest.
The two pinhole pictures look different because in a negative the picture is color reversed and the dark areas of what you took your pictures of are actually light and the light areas are actually dark.

Bending occurs in a poto when a light ray changes mediums. Light traveling from air and going into water would be an example. The speed of the light ray changes upon changing mediums. In almost every case the direction of the light ray changes also.

Avoiding Mergers

I believe this is an exceptional picture, and a very good example of  Avoiding Mergers. It is really good that the photographer cut off part of the man face and zoomed in to it, because you can really see the tears. And you can almost feel what is happening in the picture.

Framing

This picture is a very good example of framing. It is really cool how the tower on the left and the smoke make a frame around the rest of the buildings and the people on the ground. And the frame really grabs your attention.

Balance

I really like this picture and I think it is a wonderful example of balance. Just how the photographer position everything in the photo makes it really great! There is kind of a lot going on, but the photo really looks balanced.

Lines

I believe this is an excellent example of lines, obviously because of the S-Curve. It is very good that the photographer placed the S-Curve in the center, it really grabs your attention.

The Rule of Thirds

This photo of a man falling is a great example of the Rule of Thirds. Since the guy is positioned at the top of the picture he has "room to fall" and by the lines in the wall you can see the path he is falling in.

Simplicity

This is a very good example of the Simplicity because the background is very plain and simple so it helps bring the attention to the to the man and the little boy. Also since the subject is off center it makes the photo look more interesting.

The Camera

Single Lens Reflex Camera-allow the photographer to see the precise focus, color, framing, and brightness that will be recorded on film, because the viewfinder looks through the lens.
Parallax-when the viewfinder or viewing lens is separated from the taking lens.
Light Meter- is used to ensure accurate exposure of images.
Shutter Lag-is the delay between triggering the shutter and when the photograph is actually recorded.
Aperture-an opening, usually circular, that limits the quantity of light.
Shutter-a device that allows light to pass for a determined period of time.
Exposure-is the total amount of light allowed to fall on the photographic medium  during the process of taking a photograph
Depth of Field-is the portion of a scene that appears acceptably sharp in the image.
F-Stop- Focal Length
Focal Length-is a measure of how strongly the system converges or diverges light

Pinhole Camera

I like this picture by the pinhole camera because the distance the photographer is away from the girl makes the rocks look way bigger than she is, which is pretty cool. I like how the photographer made the river  look smooth. Its interesting because this smooth river is coming between these rough rocks. Surprisingly the image doesn't  seem to be  warped

I don't like picture because it looks distorted and out of focus. You can't really see what the subject is. It just looks very old. The image looks warped because the middle of the picture stick out.
